What We Do…

At MANA Physical Therapy we cater towards identifying and addressing a variety of orthopedic problems/issues, as well as any vestibular/vertigo/balance issues you may have. Each physical therapy session is customized towards you (the patient’s) symptoms and overall goals. Treatments that are performed at MANA Physical therapy may include functional dry needling (FDN), Manual work (including IASTM and/or cupping), exercise instruction, taping and electrical stimulation.

Manual Therapy

Manual therapy are skilled hands on movements that a physical therapist performs to the patient’s joints and soft tissue. Manual therapy techniques are utilized to improve tissue extensibility, increase range of motion, induce relaxation, mobilize or manipulate soft tissue and joints, modulate pain, and reduce soft tissue swelling, inflammation, or restriction.

Therapeutic Exercise

Therapeutic exercises are different movements and physical activities that are performed in order to help with improving strength, endurance, muscle flexibility, balance, posture and stability in your body. A physical therapist will prescribe various exercises to you based on examination findings, patient symptoms and diagnosis.

Functional Dry Needling

Dry needling is a skilled intervention that uses a thin filiform needle to penetrate the skin and stimulate underlying myofascial trigger points, muscular, and connective tissues to help manage neuromusculoskeletal pain and movement impairments. It is a technique used to treat dysfunctions in skeletal muscle, fascia, and connective tissue. Dry needling provides additional input into your body systems in order to help decrease your pain and “re-set “your body. This re-set leads to decreased swelling and returning to normal function. It is called dry needling as there is no medicine/solution that is being injected into the body.
